BCut supports 96+ languages, including English, Vietnamese, Japanese, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Korean, Chinese, and many more. Filler word detection has enhanced support for English, Vietnamese, and Japanese with curated filler word lists, and can be customized for any language.
Only for the initial setup — BCut needs to download a transcription model once before first use (roughly 1–3 GB depending on quality level). After that, BCut works fully offline. No internet connection required for transcription, editing, or export.
BCut uses FFmpeg under the hood, which supports virtually every video format: MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI, WebM, ProRes, and more. If FFmpeg can read it, BCut can process it.
BCut is available for macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel, macOS 12 Monterey or later) and Windows (Windows 10 or later, x64). Download the right version from the download page.
Yes. BCut is fully non-destructive until you export. Every detected cut can be individually toggled, adjusted, or removed from the timeline before export. Your original video file is never modified.
FCPXML export creates an XML file that opens in Final Cut Pro or Premiere with all cuts pre-applied as edit points — your original media files are referenced, not re-encoded. Video export produces a finished video file using stream copy (no re-encoding), so the original quality and codec are preserved.
